Directions to The Ardagh Hotel, Clifden, Connemara

From Galway City

From Galway City, take the N59 west through Oughterard, Maam Cross and Recess to Clifden (about 80km). At Lidl(on the left), turn left and continue to the stop sign. At the stop sign turn left and follow the signs to Ballyconneely/Roundstone(Wild Atlantic Way South). After 2.6km, The Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant will be on the left, on the Wild Atlantic Way (Road R341)with the head of Ardbear Bay to the right.

From Westport

Take the N59 south and southwest through Leenane and Letterfrack to Clifden (about 50km). At the Esso station, turn right and enter Clifden’s one-way traffic loop on Bridge Street. Continue on Bridge Street past two small lanes on your right and left, and follow the Wild Atlantic Way South towards Ballyconneely/Roundstone . You’ll wind around Clifden Bay and after 2.6km The Ardagh Hotel & Restaurant will be on your left, with the head of Ardbear Bay to the right.

Dublin to Galway

The new M6 Motorway has reduced the drive from Dublin to Galway to under 2 hours. In Dublin, look for the motorway signs that say “The West”.
